Vietnam won 17 golds to top the Asia Open Pickleball Championships which is organized for the first time in HCM City.
The Asia Open Pickleball Championships (AOPC) has been kicked off on April 30 featuring more than 400 athletes in HCM City.
Vietnam will host the Asia Open Pickleball Championships (AOPC) for the first time later this year in HCM City.
Expressing their aspirations, the Ly brothers aim to bring home the gold medal and further promote pickleball, a sport that aligns well with the qualities of Vietnamese people and provides sports enthusiasm with more choices.
For the first time Vietnam will play host to the World Pickleball Championship Series – Asia Pacific in April.
In Vietnam, although Pickleball is relatively new and just starting to gain popularity, Vietnamese amateur players have already won the first international medals.
Truong Quang Vu made history by earning the first gold medal for the country at the World Pickleball Championship 2023 which was held on September 21 in Bali, Indonesia.
